Looking to be the ghostess with the mostest this Halloween? Whip up this Haunted Blackberry Margarita and treat your witches to a chilling beverage that’s 10/10 fang-tastic!
As I’m sure you’ve noticed, my blogger bff Alex and I are always here for the boos! So when a fun-filled holiday like Halloween comes around, you know we’re going to dream up a themed boozy beverage.
Without a doubt, this Wicked Blackberry Margarita is one of our favourite cocktails to date. It’s smooth and flavourful without being overly sweet, making it the perfect sip for Halloween (or any time of the year).
When it comes to blending up margaritas, I always reach for a blanco or silver tequila. In this cocktail we used Casamigos Blanco – and I’m definitely a fan. We paired it with fresh blackberries, blueberry pomegranate juice and blackberry juice, resulting in a rich, moody color that screams Halloween.
Here’s how to whip it up:
Wicked Blackberry Margarita
Yields 1 pitcher
You’ll need:
- 6 oz blackberry juice
- 3 oz blueberry pomegranate juice (we used Pom Wonderful)
- 1.5 oz Triple sec
- 3 oz blanco tequila (we used Casamigos Blanco)
- 1.5 oz simple syrup
- Handful of blackberries
- 4 large handfuls of ice
- Lime wedge and salt to rim (we used pink hibiscus salt)
Directions:
Rim a margarita glass with a slice of lime and then coat it in salt.
Next, add all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until you get a nice slushy consistency (add more ice if necessary). Pour the margarita into your salted glasses, top with a festive straw and prepare to make a second round, because these will definitely be hit at your Halloween party!
Plus, if you’d like to replicate our shimmery bat straw – we simply drew and cut out a bat on glitter craft foam, then affixed it to a black straw.
