Looking for the perfect summer cocktail? Your search is over. My Vodka Pomegranate Lemonade is the perfect drink for your next patio party.

It’s SO light and refreshing, with sweet citrus notes from the lemonade pairing perfectly with tart pomegranate juice. You can make it by the glass or pitcher, though, full disclosure: you’re probbbbbbably going to want to make it by the pitcher! It’s that good.

FYI: there’s nothing I hate more than sugary cocktails that result in instant headaches. Aaron I played around with this recipe four times until we got it just right. So, trust me when I say: avoid store-bought lemonade and whip up a batch from scratch. It only takes a few minutes and results in a cocktail you can sip on all evening long! Here’s how.


The Lemonade for your Vodka Pomegranate Lemonade

Yields: One pitcher of lemonade

You’ll need:

• A pitcher
• A citrus juicer
• Five lemons, juiced
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup boiling water
• Cold water, to top

Directions: Juice five lemons.

In a pitcher, dissolve one cup of sugar in one cup of boiling water. The heat helps the sugar dissolve properly – you don’t want your lemonade to be gritty.

Refrigerate the mixture for a few minutes, then add the lemon juice and top your pitcher off with cold water. Refrigerate until chilled.

Vodka Pomegranate Lemonade

Yields: One 1.5 ounce cocktail (or you can axe the vodka and opt for a delicious mocktail!)

You’ll need:

• 1.5 ounces high quality vodka (we used Absolut Elyx)
• 1 ounce pomegranate juice (we used POM Wonderful)
• 4 ounces lemonade
• Ice

Directions: Fill a glass with ice. Add 1.5 parts vodka, 1 part pomegranate juice and 4 parts lemonade. Enjoy!

As I mentioned before, you can axe the vodka and enjoy the pomegranate lemonade on it’s own as a mocktail. You can even freeze it to make popsicles!
