Grapefruit Rosé Sangria

Our Canadian winter is feeling especially long this year, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and capture some sunshine in a cup! Today I’m sharing the recipe for my Grapefruit Rosé Sangria.

With a fresh, citrus taste, it’s the perfect cocktail to chase the winter blues away. And you’d better believe in a few short months, I’ll be enjoying it right here:

Patio season anyone? I can’t wait!

And neither should you… so let’s check out this Grapefruit Rosé Sangria recipe.

Grapefruit Rosé Sangria

Yields 1 pitcher

You’ll need:

Directions:

Combine the sliced grapefruit and lime in a pitcher and muddle for 30 seconds. Then add the sliced strawberries, grapefruit juice, rosé, vodka, orange bitters and simple syrup.

Good things come to those who wait, so I highly suggest covering the pitcher and refrigerating it for between 1 and 8 hours. This step isn’t necessary, but it will make for a more flavourful cocktail.

Right before serving, top off the pitcher with a cup of chilled soda water and stir to add a bit of fizz. Serve over ice and enjoy!

This tasty Grapefruit Rosé Sangria is beyond refreshing! One of my favourite summer cocktails. Rose Sangria. Sangria with rose and grapefruit.

Simple syrup recipe

Boil equal parts sugar and water in a medium saucepan until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool before using.

When making simple syrup for cocktails, I usually use one cup of water and one cup of sugar. The simple syrup can then be stored in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
