When life gives you lemons, decorate with them.

Seriously, though! This summer, the star ingredient in many of my favourite recipes is also front and centre in my decor: citrus.

When the temperatures rise outside, I love creating a space inside that’s equally bright and sunny.

Over the last year, our family has spent even more time than usual in our kitchen so when I came across this incredible ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet maker online at Walmart, I knew it would quickly become a family favourite. And I was right!

This past weekend we whipped together blueberry custard ice cream, as well as this refreshing lemon sorbet (which took me right back to strolling down the streets of Rome on our honeymoon).

I also picked up a few other summer kitchen essentials, including a new lemonade pitcher, flour sack towels, glassware, cutting board, candles and dish towels… and was SO impressed by Walmart Home’s summer kitchen decor lineup. So many bright and trendy options!
