Gotta love a fun, themed (and super easy) Christmas recipe! These reindeer waffles are perfect to make on Christmas morning or anytime you want to surprise the kids with some holiday magic.
Making these reindeer waffles doesn’t need to be complicated. You can save yourself some time and reach for your favourite pre-made waffle mix. Then, to finish it off, it’s as simple as adding some pretzel ears, Wilton Candy Melt eyes and a nose.

Easy Cocoa Reindeer Waffles
You’ll Need:
For the waffles
- 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
For the reindeer face
- White Wilton Candy Melts (as the eyes and to melt as the ‘glue’) or mini marshmallows
- Brown M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces for the eyes
- Red maraschino cherries, gumballs, Smarties, Swedish Berries, jellybeans, red candy melts or M&M peanuts for the nose
- Mini pretzels for the ears

- Waffle Maker
Directions:
Preheat your waffle iron.
Meanwhile, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Mix in milk, eggs and butter until the mixture is smooth.
Cook your waffles.
Melt about 15 White Wilton Candy Melts. Use it as glue and arrange the pretzels as the reindeer’s ears, a red candy as the nose and a combination of a white candy melt and brown chocolate as the eyes.
