Can you believe Christmas is less than three weeks away? Well, you’ve come to the right place to get into the holiday spirit! Today I’m sharing my candy-coloured blue and pink Christmas decor as part of the Walking In A Winter Wonderland Holiday Home Tour.
I’m SO excited about this tour! I’ve teamed up with 17 other talented home decor bloggers (all tagged at the bottom of this post) and you’re going to fa-la-la-la-fall in love with how they decorate for Christmas.
If you’re coming to me from the blush and beautiful abode of Katie from Peonies on Pleasant, welcome! Katie and I were both on the same wavelength this holiday season. I also found myself reaching for soft pastels. Here’s a look at my pretty-in-pink holiday decor.
Candy-Coloured Blue and Pink Christmas Tree
There’s nothing I love more than a beautiful Christmas tree and this year’s edition has to be one of my favourites to date!
While I have decorated with pink Christmas ornaments before, this was my first year incorporating blue.
…Or, as Elle would say, Elsa Blue. My three-year-old daughter is completely enamoured by the Frozen movies. It’s a fixation that first took over her toy box, then extended to her closet and has now, apparently, trickled down to my Christmas decorations.
But when your toddler asks for blue for Santa, you let her have blue!
My friends at GlucksteinHome were kind enough to send over some absolutely charming ornaments from their new Storybook Collection that add the perfect pop of frosty color.
The Fluff
If you checked out my fluffy Christmas tree post last year, you’ll know that the white feathery garlands in my tree are nothing more than white microfiber dusters.
Yes, that’s right – I have a cleaning tool in my tree. LOL. But honestly, they’re perfect. They have so much volume, add texture and amplify the lights in a way that makes them look like they’re glowing.
I bought the dusters here in St. Albert at Dollarama. However, if you’re not in Canada – don’t fret: they have a near identical version online (on Amazon, Wayfair and Wal-Mart).
I have 50 dusters in total but started with only 25, which is certainly more than enough (and Amazon sells a 24-pack).
Tree Top and Bottom
I placed a silver star at the top of the tree, as well as some silver glitter picks for extra volume. Because, let’s face it, this tree is extra.
At the bottom I have a beautiful white faux fur skirt and candy-colored gift boxes and bags. But – just for the record – my favourite accessory at the bottom is our Treemote. Long gone are the days fighting my way under the tree to unplug it each night!
Christmas Coffee Table
A good tray, pretty books and ambience-setting candles are always at the top of my list when it comes to coffee table styling. But to add a bit of festive charm, I couldn’t help but add this beyond adorable Elfie Tree (the Grinch Tree’s cute cousin) made by the talented team at Fleurs Flowers.
Isn’t it stunning? Plus, it adds such a great fragrance to the space.
Pink Christmas Table Setting
While my husband is in charge of the turkey, I like to think I have an equally important job: setting a table that looks as good as the food tastes!
This year I’ve been a big fan of eucalyptus. So, I decided to make greenery the star of my table – opting for a faux eucalyptus garland paired with fragrant, fresh cedar.
And, to tie into the pink hues of my Christmas tree, I opted for blush dinnerware and tabletop Christmas ornaments.
Pink Christmas Kitchen
Later this week I’ll be launching a blog post showcasing my pink Christmas kitchen – but thought I’d share a sneak peek.
This is a real gingerbread castle made by the talented bakers over at Whisk Dessert Co. To say that I’m obsessed is an understatement. I can’t get over how beautiful it is!
