Spring Pastel Living Room Decor

Oh, spring sunshine. I see you streaming through our living room windows, soft and bright. I see you and I thank you.

Our winter was long, dark and bleak. If I’m being honest, it didn’t bother me all that much. I was out of commission from a physically gruelling pregnancy and loved having an excuse to go into hermit mode. (If you’ve watched Amy Schumer’s account of hyperemesis gravidarum on her Netflix special Growing, you’re up to speed with my last ten months!)

But now the sun is out (and so is the baby, HA) and I feel so reenergized. I’m pretty much a new woman. Like OMG, it feels SO good to feel good.

Here’s a look at my refreshed space:

Pastel Living Room Rug and Bench

First things first, the biggest change to this space is my new RUG. Eek! Isn’t the design so pretty?

I might be taking a bit of a risk going so light with a toddler running around but I’ve sprayed it down with some Scotchguard and prepared myself with a ‘here for a good time, not a long time’ attitude.

I found it at HomeSense Canada the exact same day I also stumbled across this blush pink velvet bench. They’re a match made in pastel living room decor heaven; wouldn’t you agree?

Springtime Coffee Table Decor

Another change I made to my living room for spring was to swap out all my coffee table decor.

Pastel Living Room Pillows

Lastly, I complemented my white sheepskin pillows with some pretty-in-pink pillows, as well as a new white and blush throw blanket.

"The trouble with some women is they get all excited about nothing - and then marry him." Quote from Cher - Eyelash mug and Pastel Living Room Decor for Spring

This wasn’t my first time decorating with pink in our living room. If you checked out my pastel-tone Christmas decor in 2018 or my blush tree in 2017, you’ll know I’ve been drawn to feminine tones in the past. What about you – are you a fan of pastel living room decor? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. Your living room really looks like heaven with all the lovely pastel nuances! I’m also a fan of the rug, it goes perfectly well with the rest of the space and its design is so pretty. The pillows look so fluffy and cute and the coffee table makes me want to transport myself in your living room, pour some coffee, grab some book and spend the whole day enjoying myself. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of your home!
