Roses are red
Violets are blue
Strawberry Lemonade Frosé is sweet
The perfect cocktail for you!
Okay, I definitely won’t have a second career as a poet, but I do know how to whip up a pretty delicious (and easy) Strawberry Lemonade Frosé.
My blogger bff Alex and I spent an afternoon perfecting the traditional frosé recipe and found that adding a tart kick from pink lemonade perfectly balanced the fresh, juicy strawberries.
The resulting Strawberry Lemonade Frosé is a great cocktail to whip together for your sweetheart or bestie this Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day. And I already have a feeling that Alex and I will be remaking this beverage poolside during our Kelowna girls’ trip this spring.
Let’s take a peek at the recipe:
Strawberry Lemonade Frosé Recipe
Yields 1 pitcher
You’ll need:
- 1 bottle of dry rosé (we used La Vieille Ferme Rosé)
- 1/2 cup of simple syrup
- 4 tablespoons of pink lemonade concentrate (we used Minute Maid)
- 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup of ice
Directions:
Pour the rosé into ice cube trays and freeze overnight.
When you’re ready to make your frosé, pop the frozen rosé ice cubes into a blender with all the other ingredients and blend until it’s a slush-like consistency. Pour into a glass, garnish with a strawberry wedge and sip, sip, frosé!
Simple syrup recipe
Boil equal parts sugar and water in a medium saucepan until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool before using.
When making simple syrup for cocktails, I usually use one cup of water and one cup of sugar. The simple syrup can then be stored in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
Cheers!
