Happy fall y’all! Last week the calendar flipped from ‘summer’ to ‘autumn’ and I’m ready to jump headfirst into the new season (….and a pile of leaves, while drinking a pumpkin spice latte!)

Earlier this month over on Instagram, I shared a stunning, earthy DIY floral pumpkin. Right now it’s starring front and centre on our dining room table as (you guessed it) a centrepiece.

It’s an earthy twist on the pastel pink pumpkin vase I created last year (be sure to check out the tutorial) and I’m loving the texture and interest it’s adding atop our farmhouse table!

I received the supplies to make this DIY floral pumpkin in the CUTEST dress-to-impress pumpkin kit from local florist Cory Christopher (check out his website if you want to swoon!)

I’m by no means skilled in the DIY department, so am pleased to report this look was super easy to create. With the help of my trusty glue gun, I simply affixed moss, dried leaves and florals around the crown of a white pumpkin I picked up earlier this season at Somerset Pumpkin Farms. I’ve shared a video of the process on Instagram.

Ways to Customize your Pumpkin

This DIY can work for large or small-sized pumpkins and with various natural elements.

Moss to earthy for you? Interested in a boho chic vibe? Try pampas grass!
Looking for something modern and edgy? Affix succulents and miniature metal prisms.
In need of something a little glam? Add gold and glitter-dipped feathers with dried roses.
Hoping for some decor that can carry you over into the Christmas season? Top with dried leaves, pinecones and berries!

No matter the vibe you’re going for, this is a fun, easy seasonal DIY to try.
