Kids’ decor is a weakness of mine. Needless to say, I’m excited to share some incredibly cute playroom ideas with you guys today!
Earlier this winter, as I hurried to put away some toys in Elle’s nursery before she took a nap, I had a stroke of brilliance and figured we’d transform the home gym into a playroom!
And by ‘home gym’, I mean a smaller room in our basement that stores our elliptical. The other day I opened the door and swear a tumbleweed rolled by. We use it THAT infrequently.
Over the last few weeks, I started dreaming up all kinds of cute playroom ideas and created a few design boards.
I thought these seven boards might be a great source of Pinterest-worthy inspiration in case any of you are planning your own playrooms. And, even better, each image is clickable so you can see my product sources.
Let’s take a look (and be sure to scroll to the end to see the style I’m going with)!

Floral Playroom: the theme I’m going with!
This wallpaper had me at hello. I immediately fell in love with its crisp white, pink and grey tones. I used similar colours in Elle’s nursery, and love their femininity. The two big toys I’m planning for the space are a pink play kitchen and white kids’ tent Who said a fun space can’t also be beautiful!
