Magically Delicious: Boozy Lucky Charms Milkshake

Looking for a cocktail that’s magically delicious this St. Patrick’s Day? No need to go hunting at the end of the rainbow – my blogger bff Alex and I created a Boozy Lucky Charms Milkshake that’s so good, you won’t ever want St. Patrick’s Day to be clover 🍀

lucky charmsI worked in a bar to put myself through university and, long story short, green beers have definitely lost their appeal. Nothing like walking around with your palms stained green for a week following St. P’s day to boycott them for life. Yuck!

So Alex and I got to work on creating a much better cocktail to celebrate – and the result is this perfectly decadent festive treat. It’s made with Baileys, which was introduced in 1974 as the first Irish cream on the market, combining two of Ireland’s most delicious ingredients: rich dairy cream and whiskey.

We paired it with silky smooth mint ice cream and are doing one thing that everyone, everywhere has always wanted to do: we plucked a handful of Lucky Charms marshmallows and left behind the cereal!

This cocktail is perfect to enjoy for one as a milkshake, or you can do smaller, shot-sized portions. Talk about the best starter drink or shot to pass around to guests if you’re hosting a St. Patrick’s Day party!

Here’s how it’s made, laddies and lassies:

Yields 1 drink

You’ll Need:

Directions:

In a blender, combine Baileys, ice cream, milk, vanilla and ice cubes. Blend until silky, adding  in a tad extra milk – or Baileys, lol – if it’s too thick. Serve in an old-school milkshake glass for extra points, top with whipped cream and Lucky Charms marshmallows and enjoy!

And I’m sure it goes without saying but this cocktail can also be the best kid-friendly milkshake if you leave out the Baileys (and sub in a bit more milk, if needed).

Alex and I whipped up a batch of booze-free Lucky Charms Milkshakes for the kids and they were all over it!

Happy sipping (and don’t be surprised if everyone comes after you’re Boozy Lucky Charms Milkshake. It is magically delicious, after all)!
