My Mum’s Spring Bedroom Refresh

I was chatting with my Mum earlier this month when she mentioned wanting to update her bedroom for spring. The mood she’s going for? Something similar to my current master bedroom:

This made me laugh as much of my home is inspired by my Mum’s aesthetic. Needless to say, I was more than happy to help her source some furniture and decor with a similar vibe to my bedroom.

Why I Create Design Boards

Have you ever spent a day shopping and excitedly brought home several pieces, only to realize they don’t work. At all. Talk about disappointing! That’s why I always recommend creating a design board.

Once you’ve narrowed down what vision – or mood – you’re going for (in this case, a light, bright and pink master bedroom), a design board helps you create a visual representation of the space.

It lets you step back and see the bigger picture. Plus, it can save you time, money and energy by allowing you to play around with how different elements will look together (and determine what works… and what doesn’t).
