While 2020 saw me take nail care into my own hands (literally) for a large chunk of the year, creating creative claws is a task I’ll happily leave to the professionals in 2021!
Quite simply, my girls Mary C, Mary L and Ranim at Gel Nail Bar in St. Albert are the best. They never cease to amaze me with their trendy nail designs. So, figured I’d share my most recent gel sets in case you’re in need of some nail inspiration for your next appointment.
And pstttt – if you live in the St. Albert area, I highly recommend this boutique salon. In addition to talented technicians, Gel Nail Bar offers one-on-one service, has an amazing selection of colours and utilizes a convenient online booking system so you can pre-book with ease.

XO – Valentine’s Day Nails
Valentine’s Day nails: because I don’t need an excuse to do rose gold everything… but I’ll take it! I also loved the addition of the rose gold foil and the petit ‘xo’ on my ring finger.
Matte Leopard Print Nails
Matte nails + leopard print = the purr-fect combination. Wouldn’t you agree?
Silver Metallic Striped Nails
Without a doubt, these were the cutest nails in the pumpkin patch. The periwinkle grey color paired well with all my favourite fall outfits, while the metallic nail tape added some flashy interest.
Pink Milk Bath Nails
Have you heard of the milk bath nail trend? Colorful dried flowers (or, in this case, beautiful pastel flower stickers) are embedded into a milky-coloured gel polish. This was one of my favourite sets… of all time!
Artistic Lilac Nails
These artistic nails, inspired by lilac flowers, were such a fun set to rock.
I especially loved the contrast between the dark and light purple tones.
Neutral Matte Nails
Have you ever tried matte nails? They lend a modern, chic touch (and are so much more durable than I thought they’d be).
Black Sparkle Nails
These nails were a pretty, understated set ideal for ringing in the holiday season and New Year’s Eve.
Oh, and for modelling hot chocolate bombs – lol!
Abstract Nails
Um, how fun are these?
Each nail was literally its own piece of art – from the paint strokes to the gold foil.
Thanks again to the Gel Nail Bar for hooking me up with these gorg nails. Can’t wait to share what we come up with next!
Plus, if you try out any of these looks, tag me (@chandeliers.and.champagne) and Gel Nail Bar (@gelnailbar) on Insta – we’d love to see!
