When my four-year-old daughter asked, sweet as could be, if we could decorate a rainbow Christmas tree for Santa, I didn’t even hesitate before hopping into my vehicle in search of some multi-colored lights for her.
While I’ve focused on traditional reds, pastel or blush pink tones in past, Elle’s rainbow Christmas tree added a welcomed pop of color and whimsy to our upstairs living room. And, best of all, she was SO proud of it.
How We Put Together Our Rainbow Christmas Tree
This look was so much fun – and so easy – to create.
We simply started by stringing our 7 foot flocked Christmas tree with multi-coloured lights. However, there are now quite a few flocked trees out there that come pre-lit with rainbow lights. That would definitely make the set-up process even easier!
White Fluffy ‘Snow’
Next, for some extra volume and a bit of whimsy, I layered in some white fluffy snow. What you might be surprised to learn, however, is that this ‘snow’ is actually just a white microfibre duster with the handle ripped off. Simple, yet effective.
I found mine at Dollarama but here are a few similar options at Walmart, Wayfair and Amazon:

Rainbow Christmas Tree Ornaments
The crown of our tree is a simple silver star topper, alongside some glitter tree picks.
Throughout the tree, we layered in numerous ornaments of various sizes. Here are a few bright and cheery ornaments that caught my eye this season:
Happy decorating!
