Today I’m sharing all the details of Elle’s dreamy grey and pink peony nursery with swan decor.
One of the first blog posts I ever wrote was a tour of Elle’s glamorous pink and grey nursery
Designing and decorating this space was a true labour of love and – not gonna lie – it broke my Momma heart a little when we transitioned her nursery into a big-girl room.
As a personal memento, I shot a few photos the day we swapped out Elle’s crib for a bed. I still get a lot of questions about this space, so thought I’d re-share all the details and post some updated product links (now that my original post is over two years old).
All the Dets: Elle’s Dreamy Grey and Pink Peony Nursery with Swans
Pink Peony Nursery Wall Decals
I will take any and all opportunities to rave about these stunning watercolor decals from Rocky Mountain Decals. We’ve now had them up for over three years and they’re as striking as the day we got them.
They were so easy to install – like smoothing silk onto the walls. Plus, they’re removable which is ideal for when we want to change up the look in a few years. We also have Rocky Mountain Decals’ snowy rose removable wallpaper in Elle’s playroom and a rainforest wall mural in Emmett’s nursery – if you’d like to see.
Here are my decals, as well as some other pretty options with a similar vibe:
Dove Grey Rocking Chair
I was definitely sad when we sold this beautiful chair – it was a combination swivel, glider, recliner. Classic and comfy!
Here’s my chair (the Everston swivel) and some other comparable options.
Blush Pink Crib Canopy
I’m just going to go ahead and blame this one on Instagram: photos of gorgeous, romantic canopies were filling my feed and I needed one! We took a trip to Pottery Barn Kids and they had so many whimsical options.
For the sake of safety, we screwed the canopy into a stud to ensure it can’t be tugged down. Each night I’d wind up the tulle and pin it out of reach, just to be on the safe side.
Now the same canopy hangs over Elle’s bed and she loves it! Our exact canopy is no longer available but here are some similar (beautiful) options:
I’m also a fan of cornice canopies – how dreamy are these?
Silver Tufted Crib
It was love at first sight when I spotted this (now discontinued) silver-tufted crib by Natart Juvenile. Without a doubt, it was a significant splurge. Thankfully, it’s great quality and we converted it into a double-sized bed so we’re getting our money’s worth.
It’s now discontinued but here are a few similar (and truthfully, much more affordable) options.
Ornate Dresser
This ornate dresser is also by Natart Juvenile. I love its unique shape!
On top are some of Elle’s favourite things, including her house-shaped jewelry box, Frozen snow globe, swan bank and gold snow globe.
Here are a few other swoon-worthy dressers perfect for a girl’s nursery.
Swan Decor
How fun is this guy?!
Swans are so graceful and elegant, making them the perfect accent decor. My favourite piece? This plush swan head (I painted the beak gold myself) that I framed. Prices have SURE come down the last few years – here are some super affordable options and some other pretty swan details:
Paint Color
I adore the paint color we chose for above the wall panelling. It’s Lace Falls by General Paint (which, by the looks of it, was since bought out by Sherwin-Williams). I’ve found a few websites suggesting comparable tones in other brands and it appears Behr’s Shiny Luster is a close match (and available in a multitude of finishes).
Tulle Crib Skirt
It’s all in the details – and this tulle crib skirt added such an elegant touch! I found it at – surprise, surprise – Pottery Barn Kids. Here are a few other dreamy options:
Drum Chandelier
Unfortunately, our original drum chandelier is discontinued but here are a few similar options.
Custom Pink Peony Nursery Cat Art
Elle loves our three cats so it only made sense to include them in her nursery!
LittleOakStudios on Etsy custom-made this pet print and it turned out beautifully.
Other Pretty Pink Peony Nursery Details
Here are a few more details I receive a lot of questions about, including our toy box, fur rug, lamb rocker, octopus and Lala + Bash drapes.
Thanks for stopping by to check out Elle’s dreamy grey and pink peony nursery with swans. As always, I’m happy to answer and questions in the comments below or on Instagram.
