I don’t have too many ‘review’-style blog posts because I’m the kind of person who reallllllllly likes to get to know something before I go around town recommending it. And I think it’s safe to say that, after two kids and more than two years of daily use, I’m 100 per cent confident in recommending our Oribel Cocoon High Chair!
It. Is. Fabulous.
Here are my thoughts in case it’s a high chair that’s on your radar.
The Aesthetic
I think the modern, sleek design speaks for itself about why I was drawn to this chair in the first place. It fits in seamlessly with my home, proving that not all baby gear needs to LOOK like bright, bold baby gear.
It comes in four delightful colours: rose meringue, pistachio macaron, blue raspberry marshmallow and slate.
I was about two seconds away from selecting ‘rose meringue’ and am so glad I went with a gender-neutral tone. Though there’s nothing wrong with boys and pink, poor Emmett’s already got a lot of it to deal with in this house haha!
The Functional Design
I’m happy to report that this high chair works as good as it looks.
It’s incredibly functional – something I’ve appreciated even more so since having Emmett, who is SUCH a messy eater. Don’t let the classy bib fool you, lol!
The Oribel Cocoon is made of foam, making it comfortable for your little one yet easy to wipe down and clean for Mum and Dad. Plus, the tray detaches and is dishwasher safe.
The highchair is on wheels and folds up for easy storage and there’s a magnetic clip at the back to hold the tray when it’s not in use.
It has 3 recline positions, six height adjustments and in the early days, you can even use it as an infant bed.
Where to Buy
Depending on where you’re located, I’ve found the Oribel Cocoon High Chair at numerous retailers including: Well.ca, Amazon (US), Amazon (CA), Hudson’s Bay and KidzDistrict. Happy to answer any further questions you may have in the comments below!
