New Year’s Eve Bar Cart Styling Ideas
Over the last few years I’ve had the privilege of helping plan and host quite a few birthday, baby, bridal and bachelorette parties. Then, after each event, I shove all the decor in a box and store it in my basement ‘just in case’. Tell me I’m not the only one who does that!
Well, today it was -22°C in Edmonton (yes, you read that correctly!), so I think it goes without saying that I didn’t leave the house. I stayed home and organized, and realized I had decor tucked away that’s perfect for my New Year’s Eve bar cart. Or, more accurately, my mirrored bar table – we won’t be bringing a bar cart out until Elle’s a bit older!
Other than alcohol, I was able to create this entire look using ‘previously loved’ decor!
I pulled together this gold ‘bar’ sign using letters from a ‘Happy Birthday’ banner. And these glittering gold champagne bottles are Christmas tree ornaments.
I also removed the pink paper tassels from Elle’s first birthday garland so only white and gold remained. And the black balloon and paper fan were from my father-in-law’s 60th birthday.
But, no need to be stingy like me if you’re hosting a large event or don’t have decor supplies in your arsenal. There’s plenty of cute decor themed specifically for New Year’s Eve!
New Year’s Eve Decor
Sparkling Rosé and Prosecco are my beverages of choice this New Year’s Eve, so you’ll find my bar table stocked with bubbles in ice buckets, as well as champagne flutes and coupes displayed on marble trays.
To add a bit of fun, I draped my table in twinkle lights and threw a few colour-changing LED ice cubes in the ice buckets. I also love the ‘Press for Champagne’ button, champagne-themed tea towels and fresh pink roses decorated with gold noisemakers and black feathers.
And, if you’re not hosting a party but still want some New Year’s Eve fun for one, you can always style your bedroom vanity like I did below!
