Although we all love and appreciate our mums 365 days a year, I love celebrating my Mum and mother-in-law by showering them with good food and something pretty on Mother’s Day. My Mum raised three girls, so she deserves it!

Over the last few years my family has started doing activities together to celebrate milestone instead of giving gifts. My #1 love language is quality time, so I’m all about a fun family day out. (And if you don’t know what I’m talking about when I say love language, pick up this book – it’s SO interesting).

Last month we went out for the most amazing steak dinner for my Dad’s birthday and then failed miserably (but had the best time!) at Breakout Edmonton Escape Room. And this upcoming weekend the fun continues, as we’ll be taking my Mum for a vintage-glam brunch at Fort Edmonton Park’s Johnson’s Café.
