My thoughts on Fresh Prep

Not gonna lie, juggling work, school schedules and kids’ activities can often feel like a grind and at the end of a busy day, the last thing I often feel like doing is heading to the grocery store.

Over the years, I’ve tried a few different meal delivery companies to help simplify dinners at home and in my opinion, Fresh Prep is leading the pack. Here’s why:

• The ingredients are really good quality. Everything arrives fresh and well portioned.
• There are a large variety of recipes to choose from. Always new meals to try so dinner doesn’t get boring.
• Fresh Prep offers ready-to-cook AND ready-to-eat options. While we typically choose the ready-to-cook meals for family dinners, I like that Fresh Prep also offers ready-to-eat single-serve meals. While I first started out only ordering family dinners, I now like the flexibility of being able to add a couple salads or quick lunches so I have something easy to grab when my schedule gets packed. It saves me from skipping lunch or reaching fors omething less healthy when I’m rushing between meetings.
  
• Less Waste (Which I Love). The ready-to-cook meals come in reusable containers that Fresh Prep picks up from your doorstep on the next delivery. While some items – like frozen chicken – come in plastic for food safety, I feel like there’s substantially less waste compared to other companies. I love this system because it means we’re not dealing with piles of little plastic packages for every single ingredient which feels like a much better solution.

  

• Meals come together quickly. Fresh Prep pre-prepares and portions ingredients in their reusable containers. Cheese? Shredded. Onions? Chopped. It really help cut down the work.
