It’s a week until Valentine’s Day (and a week since Baby was supposed to make his or her appearance… but who’s paying attention to the calendar anyway, lol). And to help celebrate two of my great loves – my husband and all things delicious – I put together an easy Valentine’s Day Dessert Table that I’m excited to share with you!
If you were following along with me last year, you might remember that I created a fun Valentine’s Day bar featuring a large and in-charge tulle balloon heart backdrop.
Well, as much fun as that was, I AM 40+ weeks pregnant and decided to take the simple route this year.
In creating my easy Valentine’s Day Dessert Table, all I used was:
- A shimmering sequinned table cloth to add a bit of jazz
- A bouquet of fresh flowers to add a bit of color
- A selection of beautiful, delectable desserts to steal the show
Now, though I am a fan of baking, I’m not a fan of standing for more than 10 minutes these days (#thestruggleisreal) and decided to trust in my favourite St. Albert bakery to whip up some magic.
If you checked out Elle’s amazing swan princess first birthday cake, or all her fiesta-inspired second birthday goodies, then you’ll be familiar with Whisk Dessert Co.’s beautiful work.
For my easy Valentine’s Day Dessert table, I featured a selection of:
- Mini cherry cheesecakes
- Strawberry champagne macaron gateaus filled with a strawberry cheesecake mousse and topped with gold leaf and a chocolate heart
- A heart-shaped shortbread cookie with white chocolate namelaka and raspberry gelee
- A Strawberry mousse cheesecake with vanilla sponge cake
Each item was more delicious than that last though my favourite, if I had to pick, was the mini cheesecakes – they packed so much flavour per bite!
Anyway, I hope everyone has a fabulous Val – or Galentine’s Day – and that you get to celebrate over a little dessert with the sweet people in your life!
