Well, last week it started snowing here in Edmonton which means it’s officially socially acceptable to start talking about Christmas! And I can’t think of a better way to kick off the festive fun than by teaming up with five other talented home decor bloggers to share how we’re all styling our bar carts for the holidays.
This year, I’m putting a ‘sweet’ spin on things – here’s to hoping you love this glamorous Christmas dessert bar cart as much as I do!
Christmas Dessert Bar Cart Treats
Now, as much as I love all things cocktails and champagne, I’m currently pregnant and decided to focus on my other favourite thing: dessert! I called up my friends at St. Albert’s Whisk Dessert Co. to whip up some treats with serious wow-factor – and they knocked it out the park!
Up first on the menu are these ridiculously adorable gingerbread house mug toppers.
Whether you’re serving an eggnog cocktail or a cup of warm cocoa, they’re the perfect addition to any holiday party.
The same can be said of these macaron Christmas trees, made with five light-as-air cookies sandwiched with Irish Cream filling and adorned with stars.
I also loved these miniature candy cane cupcakes. There’s nothing like a little peppermint to put you in the holiday spirit!

Now, I have to say: I love the simple elegance of my bar cart. It has sleek silver lines and mirrored trays that reflect light, making it the perfect styling starting point.
When decorating my cart, I always like to start by adding a bit of height. A few days ago I almost screamed with delight (I know, it’s ridiculous but it’s true) when I came across something I’ve been looking for since having Elle: a light-up wooden advent calendar.
I decided to make it the centerpiece of my holiday bar cart, surrounding it with some ‘fluffy snow’ – aka microfibre dusters – illuminated with twinkle lights.
In keeping with the white color scheme, I used white ceramic serveware, marble coasters and glass coupes. I placed the bar cart on top of a Mongolian sheepskin rug, added some white sparkle Christmas trees to the bottom tier for height, and placed a mirror at the back to further reflect the twinkle lights. And voila – my Christmas dessert bar cart is complete!
In case you’re looking to create a similar look of your own, or are also on the hunt for a beyond-adorable advent calendar, I’m linking some of my favourite items here for you!
