Happy February 1st! It’s less than two weeks until Val- and Galentine’s Day, and I’ve put together some pretty-in-pink Valentine’s Day bar styling details just for the occasion.
In fact, today on the blog I’m teaming up with six other talented home decor bloggers and we’re ALL sharing our Valentine’s Day bar cart ideas. Hope you’re in the mood for pink!
If you’re joining me from the beautiful home of Courtney with Tuft & Trim, welcome.
If this is your first stop on the tour, thanks for joining us. I promise you’ll leave with plenty of inspiration…. and probably a craving for cocktails and chocolate!
My Blushing Balloon Valentine’s Day Bar Details
Tulle Balloon Heart
Let’s address the elephant in the room: this gigantic tulle balloon heart. You can check out my tutorial blog post where I share how (and why!) I decided to make this thing. But I have to say – it makes quite the pretty backdrop for my bar table.
Cotton Candy Rosé Cocktail
My blog might be called Chandeliers and Champagne, but I decided to try out a new drink recipe for my Valentine’s Day bar. I mixed chilled rosé with lime juice and a splash of rose water, and served it in pink stemmed wine glasses topped with cotton candy.
I displayed the open rosé in this Mikasa crystal decanter that Aaron and I received as a wedding gift. And my yet-to-be-opened bottles of Miraval Rosé, Bottega Rose Gold and Absolut Elyx got to stay out too. I love how they add to the aesthetic of the table…
… as does this fun ‘love’ neon sign!
Valentine’s Day Sweet Tart
If you ever had a chance to check out Elle’s first birthday party, you’ll know that I was obsessed with her Whisk Dessert Co. custom swan cake.
I wanted something special for Valentine’s Day and reached out to this St. Albert bakery looking for ideas. The result was this beautiful tart, which has roots in Israel – very fitting, as Aaron and I spent part of our honeymoon in Tel Aviv.
Whisk layered shortbread pastry with white chocolate namelaka, chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream and then garnished the tart with raspberries, macarons, meringues, raspberry gelee and fresh flowers. What can I say, I’m impressed I had enough self-restraint to snap a few photos.
Fresh Blooms
I love using fresh flowers in my home decor, no matter the time of year. I feel like they add so much life to a space, and my Valentine’s Day bar is no exception.
I’m swooning over this beautiful rose, tulip and greenery bouquet from Them Blooms. In case you aren’t familiar with the weather we’ve been experiencing in Alberta lately, let me paint a picture: imagine ALL the snow and ALL the freezing temperatures. So, I’m pretty stoked that these beauties were delivered right to my doorstep so I didn’t have to venture outside… and their springtime beauty gives me hope of warmer days ahead!
Valentine’s Day is also the perfect occasion to showcase my enchanted rose. Inspired by Beauty and the Beast, it’s made from a preserved rose and has been going strong for almost a year now.
