Mortgage payments, car repairs, grocery shopping. Sure, I’m an almost-30-year-old wife, mother and homeowner, but I’d be lying if I said that ‘adulting’ comes naturally.
That was, until this week, when I daintily unwrapped my first-ever set of bone china. Apparently, on a subconscious level, I’d associated owning china with the finer, more grown-up things in life. And guys, I’m happy to report that I’m loving this part of being an adult!
In fact, I was so enamoured by the classic elegance of my new dinnerware that I styled it in a blush and aqua fall tablescape. With Thanksgiving just around the corner for my American friends, I’m excited to share this autumn-inspired table setting with you all!
Dinnerware
The main feature of my blush and aqua fall tablescape is my Brian Gluckstein by Lenox collection Clara Aqua bone china (click here if you’re in Canada). I was immediately drawn to its jewel-tone palette, shimmering platinum details and modern, feminine design. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it has the timeless daintiness of bone china… while being dishwasher safe!
The Clara collection has various pieces – from serving bowls to pasta bowls. I chose to get dinner party ready with the five-piece place setting, which includes a dinner plate, salad plate, butter plate, cup and saucer.
I paired my new plates with the Continental Dining five-piece flatware place setting by Lenox. Their contemporary design and 18/10 stainless steel finish make them the perfect match.
And, for glassware, I opted to display my Tuscany Classics all-purpose glasses. They’re the perfect choice when you’re entertaining a crowd with varying drink preferences!
Blush Pink Floral Arrangements
I complemented my aqua color scheme with the soft hue of three blush pink rose floral arrangements.
The white pumpkin centerpiece is one of the easiest DIYs ever and is something I always receive questions about. To achieve this look, I simply cut the top off a medium-sized craft pumpkin, inserted a smaller vase filled with water and arranged my fresh blooms.
Aqua Fall Tablescape Pumpkins
It’s a simple fact: fall tablescapes need pumpkins! In addition to my pumpkin vase centerpiece, I added height to the table by placing two grey velvet pumpkins atop candle sticks.
I also completed each place setting with a white ghost pumpkin. I love pumpkins when they are bright white in color. However, at three weeks old, I noticed my baby boos were starting to turn darker in color. To give them some new life, I added a bit of sparkle using mod podge and silver glitter.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my blush and aqua fall tablescape! I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
