Save Money Dining With AMA Rewards

I’ve always been a fan of getting a deal but now with the cost of – well, pretty much everything – going way up, I’ve been seeking out opportunities to save money wherever possible.

If you’re also a deal hunter, you’re going to want to read on – today I’m sharing how you can save money while dining out with AMA Rewards. Spoiler alert: it’s as simple as flashing your card!

AMA Membership

If you’ve lived in Alberta long, chances are you’ve heard about the Alberta Motor Association (AMA).

Most recognized for its outstanding 24/7 roadside assistance, I’ve been an AMA member for years. And YUP – I’ve definitely used their car towing service… and reached out when I accidently locked my keys in my car (which has happened more times than I care to admit).

But what you might not know is that AMA helps with more than just roadside assistance. AMA Rewards is actually Canada’s largest rewards program, offering savings at partners throughout the country and around the world. That means getting deals on everyday purchases from some of your favourite stores, brands and attractions. Like 20% off admission at the Calgary Zoo, up to 50% off glasses at LensCrafters and savings of 5% or more on Enterprise Car Rentals.

AMA Rewards Deals at OJs and State & Main

These past few weeks, Aaron and I took advantage of our AMA membership while dining out. We saved 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages while dining at two of our fave restaurants: Original Joe’s and State & Main.

Receiving the discount was so simple – I just showed our server my AMA card when it was time to grab the bill.

I swear the savings made our already-delicious meal taste even better!

I also took advantage of further perks by using AMA’s Ultimate Dining Gift Card.
